NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Captains Classic is underway at Christopher Newport University and the Eagles took a 3-0 loss to the Captains of CNU and a 3-0 loss to Roger Williams.

The top-ranked Captains swept all three games 25-11, 25-16, and 25-21.

Against CNU, libero Casey O'Leary led the team with 12 digs while and Cadie Castle paced the offense with eight kills.

In the second half of the day's doubleheader, Roger Williams took three straight games 25-13, 22-15, and 25-18 for the victory.

Senior Bethany Doman and sophomore Cat Snead both posted 10 kills each to lead the way for the Eagles. Kylie Graham paced the Eagles with 27 assists while O'Leary contributed 16 digs.

Bridgewater takes on Lasell tomorrow at 12 p.m. and Texas-Tyler at 2 p.m. in Newport News, Va. to wrap up the weekend at the CNU Invitational.
