Wednesday night's game was a complete reversal of this season's first meeting in Greensboro where the Eagles took a 17-point victory.

Gabriel Lowder and Josh Pittman then hit back-to-back threes to give the Quakers the lead for good.

Guilford pushed its lead to double digits for the first time when Matt McCarthy drained a three for a 34-22 lead with 5:54 left in the half.

The Guilford lead hovered between 10 and 13 points until two foul shots by Aaron Adams and a 3-pointer by Benaiah Wise cut the margin to seven, 41-34, with 3:05 left in the half.

The Quakers then closed the half with a 10-4 run to lead by 16, 54-38, at the half.

Four Quakers scored in double figures, led by Pittman with 26 points. Pittman hit 7-of-10 shots from beyond the arc. McCarthy and Will Freeman scored 15 points each and Lowder added 14.

Ed Reddick led the Eagles with 21 points on a perfect shooting night. Reddick was 8-for-8 from the field and 5-for-5 from the foul line. Cody Griffith finished with 14 points, followed by Adams with 13 and Ronnie Thomas with 11.

The Quakers also destroyed the Eagles on the boards by a 49-28 margin. Reddick also led the Eagles on the glass with eight rebounds.

The Eagles (4-10, 1-4) are back in action Saturday afternoon when they host Hampden-Sydney.
