Shenandoah Hands Eagles First Loss Of Season, 1-0

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Shenandoah handed Bridgewater its first loss of the season Tuesday afternoon as the Hornets edged the Eagles, 1-0, in non-conference action.

The difference in the contest was a well-played set piece by the Hornets in the 70th minutes. Katie Cataldo headed Amber Womack's corner kick past the Bridgewater keeper for what turned out to be the only goal of the contest.

The Eagles held a 15-7 edge in shots, including an 8-3 edge in the first half.

Hornets' keepr Kat Terza finished with four saves and recorded the shutout. Bridgewater College keeper Mackenzie Gates (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) finished with two saves.

The loss was the first of the season for the Eagles. Bridgewater takes it 5-1 record on the road Saturday when the Eagles travel to Emory & Henry for their ODAC opener.
