Box Score Bridgewater scored the first goal seven minutes into the game but the Eagles were not able to hold off the offensive power of the Hornets of Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon.
Caitlin Costello scored off an assist from Leslie Crawford at the 22:31 mark but Lynchburg took the next draw and tied the score when Lesley Buckingham scored off Kelsey Johnson's assist. LC quickly scored again at 21:31 to take the lead that they would never relinquish.
After the Hornets went up 3-1, BC's Taylor Chamberlain scored off a Megan Bach assist to cut the lead to 3-2. LC answered quickly, when Buckingham scored to give the Hornets a 4-2 lead. BC scored once more but at the half, but Lynchburg held a 11-3 advantage at the break.
LC scored six goals to the Eagles four in the second half to take the 18-7 win.
Bridgewater was led in scoring by Costello with four goals and Chamberlain with three.
The Eagles are now 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the ODAC.
