BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater lacrosse team opened the 2011 season with a 14-3 ODAC win over the visiting WildCats of Randolph College.

Randolph College scored first when Melanie Eisele took the opening draw and scored.  The 1-0 lead was short lived as the Eagles responded with a goal by Megan Bach (Manchester, MD/North Carroll).  BC controlled the next draw and Taylor Chamberlain (Finksburg, MD/Westminster) gave the Eagles a 2-1 lead.

BC led the WildCats 11-3 at half and controlled play the second half.  Six Eagles scored on the afternoon. 

Bridgewater was led by senior Leslie Crawford (Myersville, MD/Middletown) with four goals and two assists.  Chamberlain added three goals and an assist, while Aili Knapp (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill), Lisa Marshall (Charlottesville, VA/Monticello), and Caitlin Costello (Mount Airy, MD/Linganore) each added two goals. 

Costello led the Eagles in assists with three. 

Sophomore Caitlin Boles (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) had seven saves in goal for the Eagles.

Bridgewater returns to action on Saturday, at 1 p.m. when it takes on Marymount University.
