The Hornets of Shenandoah University defeated the Eagles 10-5 in non-conference lacrosse action.

SU scored the first four goals on the afternoon before an assist from Megan Back (Manchester, Md/North Carroll) to Taylor Chamberlain (Finksburg, Md/Westminster) put the Eagles on the board.  SU's Jennie Ott took the draw and scored to give SU a 6-1 lead.  The Eagles' Aili Knapp (Westminster, Md/Winters Mill) then scored consecutive goals for BC to cut the lead to 6-3.  SU scored two more goals before Caitlin Costello (Mount Airy, Md/South Carroll) found the back of the net for 8-4 deficit.  The Hornets led 9-4 at the half after a goal by SU's Sara Mucciaro.

Each team only allowed one goal in the second half.  BC's Savannah Key (Knoxville, Md/Brunswick) scored early to cut the lead to four, 9-5.  SU's Ott would again score to give the Hornets a 10-5 lead. 

BC is now 3-3 overall, 1-0 in O.D.A.C. play. 

The Eagles return to action on Saturday when they will face O.D.A.C. foe Guilford. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
