Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater junior Abby Dehoff (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin)assisted on the Eagles first goal and scored the second in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Guilford College in ODAC action.
With the victory, the Eagles improved to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in the ODAC. The victory was the sixth straight for the Eagles, tying the program record for most consecutive wins in a season. The Quakers dropped to 9-6-2 overall and 4-3-2 in conference play.
Bridgewater scored in the 17th minute on a corner kick. Dehoff's kick went to the near post where Meghan Groos (Linden, Va./Warren County) punched it past the Guilford keeper for a 1-0 lead.
The score remained 1-0 until the 53rd minute when Dehoff's direct kick hit the bottom of the cross bar and caromed straight down, just past the goal line, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead.
Bridgewater held a 10-6 edge in shots while corners were even at 3-3. Eagles keeper Mackenzie Gates (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) recorded there saves to post the shutout.
The Eagles are back in action Wednesday when they travel to Virginia Wesleyan College.
