LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College closed out
its lacrosse season Saturday afternoon, losing at Lynchburg College
to the Hornets, 17-4.
Lynchburg scored the first five goals of the game, two by
Lindsay Gengras, before the Eagles got on the board with 14:58 left
in the half on Megan Bach's
unassisted goal.
Julie Wright scored for the Hornets, but BC answered when Erin
Cartwright scored off an assist from Aili Knapp,
making the score 6-2.
Lynchburg added three goals in the final 10 minutes of the half
to lead 9-2 at the break.
The Hornets score the first seven goals of the second half,
three by Lesley Buckingham and two more by Gengras, to lead
16-2.

Moulton scored off an assist from Sarah Bursey
and Leslie
Crawford scored on a free position shot to close out the
Bridgewater scoring. Carley Dobson scored Lynchburg's final goal to
close out the 17-4 Hornets' victory.
Bridgewater finishes its season with a 10-7 overall record and a
2-6 mark in ODAC play.
