BRIDGEWATER, Va. – In a rare
women's tennis doubleheader, the Bridgewater Eagles earned a
daily split, falling in the morning session by a 7-2 score to

Bridgewater fell behind the second-ranked team in the ODAC,
Hollins, by a 2-1 tally after doubles play.
The tandem of Ally McConaughy
and Emily
Schweitzer posted BC's lone win in doubles action by an
8-2 margin at number three.
In singles action, the Eagles were able to scrape away just one

things off for the Eagles.
BC's lone singles win came at the hands of McConaughy,
with the junior posting a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 victory in a three-set
thriller at number five.
In the afternoon session, the Eagles redeemed their loss earlier
in the day by taking down the visiting Seahawks of St. Mary's

of 8-0 wins at numbers one and three.
McConaughy and Schweitzer made it a perfect 2-0 on the day with
an 8-4 win at number two to give BC the doubles sweep. The pair of
wins for McConaughy and Schweitzer gives the duo a team-best 13
doubles wins in the Spring.
In singles action, an exhausted Eagles team made some changes to
its lineup, but was still able to take four of the six singles
matches from the Seahawks.
Mathias opened things with a 6-3, 6-3 win at number one, before
