Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College scored the
game's first 10 goals Thursday and went on to defeat Randolph
College 20-2 in non-conference lacrosse action.
Nine different players shared in the first half scoring as the
Eagles opened up a 10-2 lead. Noelle Najjar, Megan Bach and Erin
Cartwright scored in the first three minutes of action to give the
Eagles a 3-0 lead.
Goals by Caitlin Costello, Sarah Bursey and Aili Knapp put the
Eagles up 6-0 with 21:11 left in the first half.
Leslie Crawford and Elizabeth Sullivan scored before Costello
netted her second goal to make the score 9-0. Krissi Dawson scored
BC's final goal of the opening half.
Randolph College scored both of its goals in the final 40
seconds of the first half to trail 10-2 at the break.
The Eagles shut out the WildCats 10-0 in the second half to
finish off the 20-2 victory.
Costello, Cartwright, Crawford and Sullivan each finished with
three goals to lead the scoring attack for the Eagles. Bach and
Naggar each scored twice while Knapp, Bursey, Dawson and Amanda
Barna added on goal apiece. Cartwright led the Eagles in assists
with three.
BC goalkeeper Colleen Schwind recorded three saves, all in the
second half.
The Eagles, now 5-5 on the season, return to action Friday when
they host Frostburg State in a non-conference contest.
