ASHLAND, Va. - Brittney Harris (Laurel, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) scored midway through the first overtime Wednesday to lift Bridgewater College to an important 1-0 ODAC victory over Randolph-Macon College.

The Eagles held a 16-7 edge in shots during regulation, but Randolph-Macon keeper China Bradley turned away four shots as the teams went to the first overtime tied at 0-0.

The Eagles put pressure on the Yellow Jackets early in overtime with three shots in the first five minutes. The fourth shot of the period proved to be the final shot as Harris found the net from 20 yards out as her shot sailed just over the save attempt by Macon's Bradley at the 96:14 mark.

Cari Hensley (Danville, Va./George Washington) recorded the shutout for the Eagles as she finished the contest with three saves.

With the victory, the Eagles improve to 5-6-1 overall and 4-2 in the ODAC. Randolph-Macon falls to 5-4-2 overall and 2-2-2 in the ODAC.
