Box Score ASHLAND, Va. - Bridgewater College picked up a
huge ODAC victory on the road Wednesday by defeating
Randolph-Macon, 2-1.
The Eagles wasted little time in taking the lead when Caroline
Banks scored just 3:01 into the game.
Bridgewater took a 2-0 lead when Jacey Kelley scored at 35:11
mark and the Eagles took that lead to the locker room.
Randolph-Macon got on the board at the 52:45 mark with a goal by
Amanda Nelms, but the Eagles held the Yellow Jackets scoreless the
rest of the way to take the victory.
Randolph-Macon held a 15-8 edge over the Eagles in shots,
including an 8-4 advantage in the second half. The hosts also held
a 5-1 advantage in corners.
Bridgewater keeper Cari Hensley finished the game with six saves
- three in each half.
Bridgewater is now 8-2-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
