Virginia Wesleyan wiped out an early 3-0 defict and defeated Bridgewater 5-4 at the ODAC baseball tournament Saturday.

The Eagles jumped on top with two runs in the second. Drew Easter plated one run with a single and the second run scored on Devon Snow's squeeze bunt.

BC pushed across another run in the third when Aaron Read led off with a double and later scored on a Drew Elkins single.

The Marlins finally got to BC starter Kevin Chandler with four runs in the sixth. Mike Marion's 3-run homer to center highlighted the inning.

The Eagles tied the score in the top of the eighth on Kevin Kirk's single, but the Marlins answered in the bottom of inning with one run to lead 5-4.

The Eagles put two runners on in the ninth, but were unable to push across the tying run.

Bridgewater finishes the season with a 23-17 record.
