Box Score 2 Bridgewater College split its ODAC doubleheader Sunday at
Randolph-Macon, winning the opener 3-2 in eight innings before
dropping the second game, 8-2.
The Eagles received another stellar pitching performanace from
freshman Eric Chandler to win the opener. Chandler worked the first
seven innings and allowed seven hits and two runs. He struck out
four and did not walk a batter. Chris Gramm picked up the save with
a scoreless eighth.
The Eagles trailed 2-1 entering the fifth, but tied the scored on a
single by Tyler Hodges.
BC scored what proved to be the winning run in the eighth on a
passed ball.
In the second game, the Yellow Jackets broke the game open with a
five-run fourth inning to take a 7-0 lead.
The Eagles are now 5-5 in the ODAC and 11-13 overall.
Randolph-Macon is 3-5 in the ODAC and 8-14 overall.
