Box Score Visiting Randolph-Macon College defeated the Eagles 75-65 in
ODAC women's basketball action Saturday afternoon in Nininger
Hall.
The Eagles started the game strong and jumped out to a 20-6
advantage but a scoring dry spell of more than eight minutes
allowed the Yellow Jackets to slowly work back into the contest and
take the lead. BC responded and regained the lead just prior to
halftime and led 31-29 at the break.
Randolph-Macon College started the second-half with a 10-0 spurt to
take control of the game and never trailed again in the contest.
The Eagles pulled within five at 62-57 with just more than six
minutes left to play but could get no closer the rest of the
way.
Sophomore Jordan Burkholder led the Eagles with 18 points but
played only 14 minutes due to foul trouble. Junior Kristin
Bosserman scored 11 points for BC and sophomore Emileigh Lambert
added 10. BC outrebounded the Yellow Jackets, 44-37, but committed
29 turnovers in the game.
Molly Ariail led the visitors with 21 points while teammate Lindsay
Riesbeck added 20 points and 9 rebounds.
The Eagles are now 8-9 on the season and 6-6 in conference play
while the Yellow Jackets improved to 14-4 overall and 11-2 in the
ODAC.
