Hampden-Sydney outscored Bridgewater 48-36 in the second half
Saturday afternoon and defeated the Eagles, 79-65 in ODAC men's
basketball action.
Ben Jessee scored 11 of his 17 points in the first half to lead the
Tigers to a 31-29 lead at the break.
Once again, the Eagles let the game slip away with a slow start in
the second half.
After Kris Cecil hit a 3-pointer to pull the Eagles within six,
39-33, the Tigers went on a 14-6 run over the next four minutes to
push the lead to 14 points, 53-39. The Eagles were unable to cut
the lead under 10 the rest of the way.
Dominic Trawick was the only BC player in double figures with 18
points.
The Eagles contined to struggle with their shooting, connecting on
just 38.9 percent of their shots.
The Eagles are now 7-9 overall and 3-4 in the ODAC. Hampden-Sydney
improves to 8-7, 4-3 in the conference.
